Formal Launching of SMART-URS InfoBoard Sim
The faculty, staff and students of URS can now commercially avail of a special SIM issued by SMART which contains an access direct number to get the latest information on student activities. The sim is also helpful for unexpected announcements of class suspension due to weather disturbances such as heavy rains and stormy conditions or special declaration of public holidays. Futhermore, with this SIM, the students can inquire on the schedule of important dates in the academic calendar such as the enrollment week and start of classes for every semester.

15th Rizal Polytechnic College (RPC) Foundation Week Celebration
As part of commemorating the history of the University before its integration and conversion, a weeklong celebration of RPC Foundation was held from March 1-5, 2010 with the theme “Enhancement of Science and Technology Education through Alternative Strategies in Response to Global Challenges”. The celebration started with a morning mass in the University Chapel and followed by an opening program in the University Auditorium. Mr. Joel Roy Duavit, the recently elected Representative of First District of Rizal Province served as the keynote speaker. Work Attitude Seminar-Workshops, Skills Competitions in HRM, Fine Arts and Industrial Technology as well as Dance Competition and Mass Bloodletting were also organized by different colleges and the Office of Student Development Services to get student involvement and awareness on the history of the University.
Dr. de Leon awards a plaque of appreciation to Congressman Joel Roy Duavit, the keynote speaker of the weeklong RPC Foundation Celebration .
