Special Visit of Vietnam Ambassador and his Delegation

On May 24, 2010, His Excellency Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tu and his distinguished delegation visited the University and paid courtesy call to the University President. The visit was in support to a continuous partnership of URS and Vietnam universities. Dr. de Leon expressed her deep gratitude and appreciation to the Honorable Ambassor Vu Tu for their time and effort and wished for a harmonious and long-term educational pursuit shared by their offices.

UP-SURP International Students Spatial Planning Campus Study Tour

Last May 25-26, 2010, NEDA RO-IV Director Severino Santos together with Professor Benjamin Cariño and four international students from the UP School of Urban and Regional Planning (SURP) stayed in the dormitory and toured the campus as part of their field research study in regional and spatial planning. As requested by the group, the URS Planning Office and the Office for International Affairs organized a presentation on the history of the University and its current initiatives in higher education development in CALABARZON region.
